How to Measure Your Nails at Home
Measuring your nails at home is a quick and easy way to find your perfect fit—especially if you're in a hurry or prefer not to order a sizing kit.
For the most accurate results, nail sizes are measured in millimetres (mm). Follow the steps below using one of two simple methods.
Step-by-Step Guide
-
Choose a Measuring Method: Use Method 1 (Tape & Ruler) or Method 2 (Soft Measuring Tape) below.
-
Measure Each Nail: Record the width (in mm) of every nail on both hands.
-
Find Your Size: Match your measurements to our sizing chart to determine your standard set size (XS–XL) or create a custom set.
Method 1: Tape & Ruler
You’ll need: Clear tape, a fine-tip pen, and a ruler with millimetre markings.
-
Place a piece of clear tape over the widest part of your nail (usually near the middle).
-
Mark where your nail bed begins and ends—sidewall to sidewall—with the pen.
-
Remove the tape and lay it flat against the ruler.
-
Record the width in millimetres.
-
Repeat for all ten nails.
Method 2: Soft Measuring Tape
You’ll need: A soft or flexible measuring tape (like one used for sewing).
-
Wrap the tape across the widest part of your nail, from one sidewall to the other.
-
Note the width in millimetres, where the nail meets the skin.
-
Repeat for all ten nails.
